INDIA CHAPTER OF ACI SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES ITS NATIONAL “EXCELLENCE IN CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION AWARDS 2022

The India Chapter of ACI [IC-ACI] successfully conducted its 2022 Edition of the Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards, in April, 2022. There were a total of 16 projects small and large from across the length and breadth of India participating in this years awards. The projects featuring concrete as the main construction material, considered innovations in concrete, the engineering challenges encountered, architectural features as well as  sustainability while deciding the winning projects. These awards are a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators. The Entries were evaluated by an independent panel of industry professionals comprising of Ar. Prem Nath, Er. Atul Bhobe, and Er. Ashwin Moghe.

Projects were submitted across seven categories namely Lower Rise Structures, Mid Rise Structures, High Rise Structures, Infrastructure, Decorative Concrete, Repair and Restoration, and Concrete Flatwork. Two projects were awarded in each category, The event received interesting, technologically challenging and innovative entries, spanning a range of construction and structure types.

6	Concrete Flatwork	IKEA Retail Store- Bengaluru	Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.

These entries were executed and submitted by some of India’s top Construction companies such as Shapoorji-Pallonji Construction Private Limited, L&T Construction Private Limited, Afcons Infrastructures, ITD CEMINDIA J V, and also by specialty companies such as Deep Ferro Tech, Nuvoco Vistas Corp Ltd, Siddharth Associates, Sanrachana Structural Strengthening Pvt Ltd, and National Capital Region Transport Corporation.

The First Place Award winners, have been endorsed to compete at the 2022 “Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards” organised by ACI-USA.
