INDIA CHAPTER OF ACI AWARDED ‘EXCELLENT CHAPTER’ STATUS FOR YEAR 2025

The India Chapter of ACI has once again been bestowed with the prestigious ‘Excellent Chapter’ Citation by the American Concrete Institute for the year 2025. The India Chapter is among only twenty-eight chapters worldwide to receive the “Excellent Chapter” title this year, which is the highest recognition granted by ACI to its chapters based on their overall performance and contributions.

The India Chapter has been actively conducting ambitious outreach programmes and making focused efforts to disseminate consensus-based standards, technical resources, educational programmes, and certification opportunities for individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction, and materials. These initiatives reflect a shared commitment to promoting the best use of concrete in the industry.

As part of this programme, the Chapter is also actively engaging with students, who represent the next generation of concrete professionals. At the same time, the Chapter continues to keep the all-India technical media informed about its activities so that a broader audience can benefit from the latest developments in concrete research and technology. Professionals, directors, and student bodies associated with the Chapter have contributed significantly through their active participation. The Chapter expresses sincere gratitude for their voluntary service, which has once again elevated it to the Excellent Chapter status.

Office Bearers – President Dr. Vishal Thombare, Vice President Dr. Yogini Deshpande, and Hon. Secretary Dr. Vinod Vanvari — conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to all members and to the Board of Directors of the India Chapter on receiving this prestigious ACI award.

Each year, ACI recognizes chapters that make significant contributions to their local communities as well as to ACI itself. Chapters become eligible for this honour based on points earned through their annual chapter reports, reflecting the impact and effectiveness of their activities.
