Hackathon Competition

India Chapter of American Concrete Institute organized National Level Project Hackathon Competition at Kongu Engineering College, Tamil Nadu.

India Chapter of American Concrete Institute organized a National Level Project Hackathon Competition on 15.11.2024 at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode, Tamil Nadu. The event was organized in order to showcase unique and working models that particularly solve the problems associated in construction industries. The event was conducted in hybrid mode with 18 projects of about 54 students as participants from numerous colleges including Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Uran Islampur, Sri Sivasubramania Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai, Ramco Institute of Technology, Chennai, KCG College of Technology, Chennai, Sona College of Technology, Salem, Nandha Engineering College, Erode, and students from the event hosting institute.

A table top display of models had been scheduled and the evaluation was done based on the essential details provided in the project report which was submitted during the table top display to the jury. Along with the submission of project report, numerous other criteria such as the functioning of model been displayed, the solution to the problem which they had chosen and its uniqueness / innovativeness, IPR status of the project, marketability and viability, cost estimation, and finally, their performance in the viva were considered for the evaluation.

Shri. Satish C. Dhupelia, Past President of ICACI & Principal Coordinator – Student Chapter Activities, ICACI was invited as the Chief Guest and Jury member for the program. Professor Dr.G.S.Rampradheep, Director of ICACI  & Mentor of Kongu Engineering College was the Principal Coordinator for the competition.

The first prize was bagged by KCG College of Technology, Chennai, the second prize was bagged by Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, and the third prize was bagged by Sona College of Technology, Salem.

The India Chapter of ACI, Management, Correspondent, Principal, Head of the Department and Faculty members of the host institution appreciated the prize winners and the event coordinator.

The India Chapter of ACI thanked Shri. Satish C. Dhupelia and other jury members for taking the time to be judge this competition and motivate young student members of ICACI.
