Our past president, Mohan A. Jacob received his B. E. In Civil Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune in 1962 and his post-graduate degree in Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering in 1964. He also received a diploma in Specialized Building Construction from ACTIM, Paris, France in 1974.
He has worked in various capacities for 36 years in the C. P. W. D. on many buildings and bridge projects all over India and also in Nepal. He retired as ADDITIONAL DIRECTOR GENERAL of Works, Western Region C. P.W. D. Mumbai in June 2001.
Presently he is working as a Consultant for corporate firms and also as Arbitrator for the last 10 years, including being involved as a Consultant for a major construction project of a large public sector Bank at Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai. He is also active in many professional and technical institutions like The Institution of Engineers (India), ACI, ICI, IIBE, ICA, etc.
Mr. Jacob has been actively involved in the activities of the IC-ACI for over 2 decades and has served the in various capacities. For his consistently outstanding devotion and Involvement in the ACI India Chapter, he was awarded the prestigious International Chapter Activities Award by ACI, USA on 26th March 2006, during the ACI Convention at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

QUALIFICATION :
Graduated in Civil Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai in the year 1982, with a Special interest in Soil Engineering .

He has been a member of a leading Professional Association viz. Practicing Engineers Architects and Town Planners Association (PEATA)(India).
He is Life Member of the Indian society of Structural Engineers, Indian Institution of Valuers (India) and alsolife member of Indian Concrete Institute, Association of Structural Rehabilitation.
He is member of American Concrete Institute(ACI USA), and current Past President of India Chapter of American Concrete Institute (ICACI). He has been on Board of Direction of ICACI for 13 years.
PROFESSION :
He is in independent Profession as Consulting Structural and Civil Engineer for over last 30 years, providing Repairs & Rehabilitation consultancy to Large Housing & Commercial Complexes, Industrial projects for Private & Public Bodies. He has also been providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for Redevelopment of Housing societies.
PROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT:
Pankaj has his office in a fast growing prime commercial area in Lokhandwala, Mumbai equipped with latest infrastructure of Computer System with most of the advanced softwares& backed up with Senior Supervisory Engineers and AUTO-CAD Draftsman, with necessary back-up facilities.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT :
He is CEO in M/s S.P.CONSULTING ENGINEERS PVT LTD and other group companies , providing Construction & Project Management services to Government & Private Sector Projects of Large Housing & Commercial Complexes. Currently he is managing construction projects for more than 30 Lac Square feet.
He has authored a number of papers on various aspects of Civil engineering and Project Management & Construction and has attended many Seminars and Conferences.
He Presented his company at ACI/KCI 2000 International Conference on Repair, Rehabilitation, and Maintenance of Concrete Structures, and Innovations in Designs and Construction held between September 18-22, 2000 at Seoul, Korea.
PUBLIC BODY ASSIGNMENTS :
He has been on the Consultancy panel in various Private & Public corporates like ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, Shri Vile Parle KelvaniMandal, Shree Siddhivinayak Temple Trust, Oriental Insurance Company, SBI, Central Bank, Bank of Baroda.
REPAIRS, RESTORATION:
He is actively involved with Repairs / Restoration / Stabilization of various structures of various complexities, both for privately owned Buildings / structures, as well as structures belonging to Public Bodies and Corporate Houses.
Chetan Raikar is a Chairman & Managing Director of Structwel Designers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd, an engineering consultancy of 50 years of glorious standing; apart from being on the panel of many international and national forums and institutions.
Chetan is a professional Structural Engineer with a Bachelor degree in B.E. Civil from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat and Master degree of Science in Conservation of Heritage structure from Herriot – Watt University, Edinburgh, UK.
Although he is a remarkable Structural Engineer, his true passion lies in Conservation of Heritage Structures. He has achieved great heights of success by crediting some of the notable heritage conservation projects to his stride; making him one of the renowned conservationists in the country today. These restored structures are the living evidence of his expertise in the field and these include CSMT (earlier knows as V.T. station), Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, Gateway of India, Rajwada of Indore and Mani Mandir to name a few.
Chetan has to his credit many awards and rewards from several organization and Govt. of Maharashtra. Some of them are Young member award for professional achievement in 1999 by ACI, Excellence vocational award by Rotary International District in 2009 and Maharashtra cha Kohinoor award in March 2013 by Govt. of Maharashtra, ACI Chapter Activities Awards in 2018 and ‘Industry Captain Award’ in 2018 instituted by CIDC (Construction Industry Development Council), Govt. of India.
Chetan is Lead Auditor and Technical Auditor for the National Accreditation Board of Laboratories, Quality Council of India in accordance to ISO/IEC 17025. He is also an ISO 9001 -2008 Lead Assessor. Chetan is an Accredited Mediator certified by Indian Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators.
Chetan is a member of many professional bodies that includes Institute of engineers, Indian institute of bridge engineers, International Association of Bridge Management & Safety ( IABMAS), Indian Heritage Society, Indian society of structural engineers, Engineering Council of India, Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee of the MCGM etc.
Chetan is the Chairman of the Course Committee of Civil Engineering Group & member of Academic committee (An apex committee) of the MSBTE (Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education)
Chetan has published several research papers in national and international journals. He is key note speaker for Galloper, young India and Swayam.
Chetan has two patents in innovation in machine development to his credit.
Socially, Chetan is associated with SAATH, a trust supporting children suffering from Thalassemia, as a trustee. He is also a trustee in Saisha foundation involved in nation building through Musical programs on Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
